Violinist Charlotte Rowan enthralled Howdenshire audiences back in 2022 and now she and pianist Charlotte Stevenson return with a thrilling programme of virtuoso violin fireworks, interspersed with beautiful lyrical pieces. Perlman) Ragtime Dance Richard Strauss Morgen Born in Scotland,Charlotte Rowan was invited at age 16 to study at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, USA. Selected as concertmistress of the Conservatory Orchestra in her first year, she subsequently performed under the conductor and pianist Leon Fleischer and featured on the Washington Performing Arts Series with Rob Kapilow. Charlotte performs extensively as a recitalist throughout the UK. In September 2023 she travelled to the Orkney Islands as part of a Scottish tour. Alongside her regular recital performances she was also invited by Orkney International Science Festival to lead a workshop on violin-making and sound production. A regular soloist with orchestras in both America and Britain, Charlotte has performed concerti by Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Dvorak, Glazunov and Elgar. Charlotte Stevenson enjoys a varied career as a pianist, singer and harpist and has performed at chamber music societies, concert series and festivals throughout the UK.
