Ian Denley is Principal Flute in the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra and a founder-member of many chamber groups, some of which have broadcast on BBC Radio. He has appeared as a soloist at Londons Wigmore Hall with the pianist Su Lloyd, and has given many recitals with pianists such as Anthony Hedges and Eric Parkin, in addition to numerous concerto appearances. He has played with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and has appeared as a soloist with the Allegri Quartet. Ian studied at the Royal Manchester (now the Royal Northern) College of Music and taught woodwind instruments for East Yorkshire County, later becoming Head of Woodwind for the instrumental service, as well as at Hull University.
Helena Bidder studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music. She has performed with many groups including Opera North, Manchester Camerata and the National Symphony Orchestra. Helena enjoys a varied career of performing, composing, teaching and creating music interactive resources. She is currently principal oboist for the newly formed local professional orchestra, the East Riding Concert Orchestra, and also plays with the Dash Quartet and Force Five wind quintet.
Robert Markham was a finalist at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow and piano class winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition. Robert performs extensively as soloist and chamber player across the world. He regularly appears as a member of Trio Severn at venues and festivals around the UK, and also appears with members of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in the Centre Stage concert series in Birmingham. His collaborative recordings include a CD of Kenneth Leightons works for piano and strings with the Edinburgh String Quartet, works for piano four hands by Schubert with pianist John Humphreys, and works for cello and piano with cellist Philip Daish-Handy. Robert Markham is currently Senior Tutor in Piano at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
