GB Youth Theatre: Summer 2025
GB YOUTH THEATRE 2025 SUMMER PRODUCTION Two one-act plays performed by the Junior and Senior Youth Theatre groups The Pied Piper of Spamtin (Juniors) by S. J. Edwards Directed by Jackie Hall Oh no! The little town of Spamtin is being overrun by rats and it's driving the townsfolk crazy. Can the mayor find a solution that doesnt require payment up front? Our Youth Theatre's Junior group look forward to retelling this classic tale. Bad Auditions by Bad Actors (Seniors) by Ian McWethy Directed by Damien Cullen It's auditions time. A casting director has just one day to find the leads for a community theatre production of Romeo and Juliet. But what seems like a simple task proves impossible when the pool of actors includes extreme method actors, performers who just dont know what to do with their hands, and one particular woman who may or may not think shes a cat. This hilarious comedy will bring you to the last place youd ever want to bebehind the doors of a casting session. About Guide Bridge Youth Theatre Jackie and Damien have been busy welcoming new members to the Youth Theatre whilst working with all the children honing their skills on improvisation and characterisation in preparation for these two one act plays. We have some great young characters who love to showcase their skills especially when working in groups with their co-stars in the improvised drama sessions held each Monday at the Theatre.
