Discover mysterious, funny and romantic Cotswolds tales - delving into the traditions of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and much more! The Cotswolds spans the west of England from Bath in the south up to Chipping Campden in the north, from Woodstock in the east to Stroud in the west.
This talk by folklorist and storyteller Kirsty Hartsiotis explores the spirits of history lurking out there in the countryside and hidden in the buildings of the towns and cities of Gloucestershire. This talk explores some of the country's spooks, and the stories and histories behind them.
About: Kirsty Hartsiotis is a professional storyteller and speaker. Shes the author, with Anthony Nanson, of Gloucestershire Ghost Tales and Gloucestershire Folk Tales for Children, as well as Wiltshire Folk Tales and two books of tales from her native county of Suffolk. As well as her books and storytelling, shes regular columnist for Cotswold Life, exploring the regions folklore and tales on foot in Cotswold Ways. Shes an Accredited Arts Society lecturer and is also a museum curator, currently working in Swindon.
