Glitch41 Presents: Kau + Blu/Quartet

GLITCH41 PRESENTS: KAU + blu/quartet with support from James Mackay || April 18 at the Rum Shack
Born in Brussels,KAU (pronounced ka ) brings together a German keyboardist, an Italian bassist and a Norwegian drummer. Conservatory-trained, they create free music blending synths, captivating melodies, electronic groove and beatmaking. Their new EP 'Unknown Waveforms Restrung' released on March 20th 2026 on SDBAN Ultra, emphasizes vibe over restrictive format, and features for the first time with the Cologne base string ensemble, blu/quartet.
Rather than simple adaptations, these versions offer deeper reinterpretations of the original compositions through newly developed arrangements. The release expands KAUs sound by introducing acoustic instrumentation into the bands signature blend of heavy bass, intricate drum patterns and synthesizers. Classical harmony has long been embedded in the bands writing, making the collaboration with a string quartet feel like a natural progression rather than a stylistic detour. The new arrangements heighten the musics cinematic quality, amplifying its sense of tension, release and atmosphere.
In 2026, KAU will tour with blu/quartet around Europe and the UK for a series of exclusive shows.
