Gong is a progressive rock band formed in 1967 by Australian musician Daevid Allen. Known for its fusion of psychedelic rock, space jazz, and whimsical storytelling, Gong created a mythological universe centered around characters like Zero the Hero and the Planet Gong. Their classic era in the 1970s produced influential albums such as Camembert Electrique and the Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy. Despite Allen’s passing in 2015, Gong continues today with a new lineup led by guitarist Kavus Torabi.
