Growing up in rural Quebec, surrounded by dilapidated old barns and acres of unspoiled land, Petunia was shaped by exactly the kind of surroundings a roots musician would find idyllic. His wandering spirit then took him to every major street corner across Canada and throughout the NYC subway system, before he graduated to full-fledged touring musician, playing venues and festivals across North America and Europe.
He is also deeply involved in the theatre world writing scores, acting, and collaborating with theatre artists bringing that same cinematic storytelling instinct to his music. A man who exists in a different era entirely, Petunia glides effortlessly between country, swing, jazz, blues and rockabilly, bringing the past forth as something new to be celebrated and never forgotten.
