Gurriers

Gurriers
Having made a striking entrance with their debut album, "Come and See," Irish guitar quintet Gurriers is poised to continue their sonic assault on modern issues. "Come and See," recorded in Leeds, launched with the intense track "Nausea," reimagining Jean Paul Sartre's novel through a raw, punk lens. The album fearlessly tackles themes of digital age existentialism, online narcissism, youth disillusionment, and sociopolitical commentary, drawing inspiration from Adam Curtis' "HyperNormalisation." Following the release of "Come and See," Gurriers, comprised of Dan Hoff, Ben O'Neill, Mark MacCormack, Pierce O'Callaghan, and Charlie McCarthy, have built upon the foundation laid by their debut. Despite the challenges of forming in early 2020 and navigating pandemic restrictions, the band refined their vision and garnered attention from figures like Anthony Fantano and BBC Radio 6 Music. Now, having toured extensively across Europe, Gurriers are gearing up to release their highly anticipated second album, promising to further their exploration of contemporary chaos with their signature razor-sharp, progressive punk sound.
