Gwlad! explores the legacy of Waless national anthem through powerful, provocative and, at times, poignant episodic storytelling, brought to life by both historical and fictional characters. Written by award-winning Welsh writer Chris Harris, directed by Harvey Evans, with music composed by Stacey Blythe, this rehearsed reading ofGwlad! Gwlad! captures the original story as it readies itself in development for a Welsh tour in 2026. This project was originally commissioned by Awen Cultural Trust for the National Eisteddfod, Pontypridd 2024, and was supported by Arts Council of Wales and Welsh Government.
