Voted #25 in Iconic Magazines All-Time Top 50 DJs, Jons unique and innovative approach to DJing helped define an era, earning him a cult following and global respect. Mixing House, Acid, Disco, Breaks and Techno with effects, a cappellas and experimental sounds, his sets were lightyears ahead of their time. Sasha credits Dasilva as his biggest influence, describing his set-building and creative use of sound as mind-blowing. Jons early Hacienda warm-ups mixing Dub Reggae, Latin, Post Punk and BBC sound FX became the unlikely blueprint for the emerging Balearic movement. From illegal raves and Superclubs like Cream and Renaissance, to being the first UK DJ to play at Berlins Tresor and the first British artist booked to tour China Dasilva was there before almost anyone else.
