The Halesworth Vinyl Collective is a new community-rooted initiative designed to make high quality music listening accessible to everyone and to encourage collaborative vinyl record selection, presentation, listening and discussion. Prog rock evolved in the late sixties. It was derived from a number of musical styles including classical, psych, folk and jazz. Notable characteristics include long multi-part compositions, complex time signatures, unconventional structures and virtuoso musicianship. Local resident Bill from Bolton will take a light-hearted look at the decades most misunderstood musical genre.
