Hang Men

Hangmen, a Martin McDonagh play, is a darkly comic thriller set in 1965, just after the abolition of the death penalty in Britain. The play follows Harry Wade, a former executioner who now runs a pub, as he grapples with his fading relevance. When a mysterious stranger arrives, unsettling secrets and simmering tensions bubble to the surface. Known for his sharp wit and masterful storytelling, McDonagh crafts a gripping tale that blends humour with unease, exploring justice, morality, and ego.
