Happy Days Productions - 80th Anniversary VE Day Celebration

Happy Days Are Here Again 80th ANNIVERSARY VE DAY Show
We are all in need of lifting our spirits, having a good old sing song and a really good laugh. If that sounds like a good idea, then this is the show for you! On the 8th May 1945, millions of people took to the streets to celebrate peace and to look forward to a brighter future. This show brings you the songs heard at those parties, songs that won the war, good old fashioned singalongs and beautiful ballads. Happy Days Productions have created a show specifically to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, as they take you on a trip down memory lane through the 40s and the events of the decade. You can 'Meet The Gang' as we take you back to the ENSA concert party days, with songs and fun from Arthur Askey, Gracie Fields and Flanagan and Allen to name a few. The show includes a tribute to the late Dame Vera Lynn, the Nation's Sweetheart, with songs including, 'Lili Marlene', 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square', 'Yours', 'You'll Never Know' and of course, 'The White Cliffs of Dover' and 'We'll Meet Again'. There is a good old fashioned knees up where you can singalong to 'Roll Out the Barrel', 'Side by Side', 'Knees Up Mother Brown' and 'Lambeth Walk' as we take you through to VE Day.
We are very proud to be associated with The Royal British Legion and we will of course pay a respectful tribute to our Fallen Heroes, honouring all our Armed Forces and creating poignant, but beautiful scenes using our projection. We cannot forget the contribution from the Americans and we will be crossing the pond for our American section to take you back to the sounds of the Andrews Sisters and Glen Miller with our fabulous dancers jumping and jiving! The show is performed by seven Award Winning vocalists with incredible voices and amazing harmonies and our talented dancers with beautiful bespoke costumes. With our fabulous compere leading proceedings and lifting your spirits, this feelgood show is guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face.
