HerStories! Celebrating Womankind in Theatre : Look at Me

HerStories : Womankind Theatre
Join us in celebrating with a series of shows and events leading up to International Women's Day in March 2026!
We're extending an Open Invitation to all female-identifying creatives with a womankind story to tell.
We're looking for a diverse programme of women writers, actors, poets, storytellers of all ages, cis and trans.
We want our programme to tell stories showing a wide range of women's lived experiences - past and present, fiction or faction.
Blue Chrysalis Productions present Look at Me
Shhh! Who? Me? Yes, you.
Shhh! But who am I? You tell me. I don't know who I am.
Shhh! I don't know anything about myself anymore.
'Look At Me' is a movement-based theatre piece exploring body image pressures and elements of the experience of Body Dysmorphic Disorder through the female lens. This is a powerful narrative that explores the suffocating pressures many women face due to unrealistic expectations around their bodies, often leading them to consider drastic measures, and the mental health challenges arising from this.
With a commitment to authenticity, 'Look At Me' seeks to champion the body acceptance movement and raise awareness about the mental health challenges arising from body image pressures, ensuring that those affected feel seen and represented.
This piece was created in affiliation with the Body Dysmorphic Disorder Foundation (BDDF).
