High Tea and History

High Tea and History
Step into the world of The Black Watch for an early evening experience that combines a focused gallery talk on The Black Watch’s history with High Tea in the Bistro.

Museum entry is included from 5:00pm, and guests will receive their Annual Pass to the Museum on arrival at the event. This pass allows unlimited access to The Black Watch Museum for a full year, giving you the freedom to return and explore the galleries as many times as you wish. Guests who prefer to join the tour directly are advised to arrive by 5:30pm.

The evening starts at 5:40pm with a 15-minute gallery talk, offering a short, curated look at key objects and stories in one of the Museum’s galleries. Guests can select their preferred gallery when booking from the following historical periods:

French Wars
Empire
First World War
Second World War
Each talk offers an introduction to The Black Watch during that period, focusing on a small number of objects and stories rather than a full guided tour.

Following the gallery talk, the experience continues in the Bistro, where guests can enjoy High Tea prepared by our Chefs. Seating is arranged individually for each guest or group, allowing you to enjoy the experience comfortably at your own table.View the full menu in advance and select your main course when booking.

High Tea & History runs on the first Wednesday of May, June, and July, with limited spaces available in each gallery to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Advance booking is required.
