Home Education: Identifying Animal Bones - Ages 7

Home Education: Identifying Animal Bones - Ages 7
In this investigative home education workshop, children aged 7+ will learn the names of some of the key bones in the human body using replica study skeletons, then make comparisons with archaeological animal bones to identify them. We will also consider what old animal bones can reveal about the lives of people in the past and investigate how the people who lived and worked at Pontefract Castle in Medieval and Tudor times used animals in their everyday lives. This session is delivered in partnership with the Community & Family Learning Team at Wakefield Councils Adult Education Service. If you would like more information about the workshop please email us [email protected]. Please note that the price per child for Home Education workshops from May 2025 has increased to 6.70. This is due to annual inflationary increases applied by Wakefield Council. FAQs How can I contact the organiser with any questions? Call 01924 302700 and leave a message.
