Prehistoric Potters Friday 2 Oct 2026
Step back in time and get your hands messy in this fun, creative workshop inspired by prehistoric pottery! Children will explore how people in the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age made and used pots in their daily lives. After a short introduction to prehistoric art and artefacts, participants will use traditional hand-building techniques just like our ancestors to shape and decorate their own clay pot to take home.
Meet local archaeologist and educator Dr Natasha Harlow who has recently published her first book researching Iron Age and Roman artefacts and will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about this fascinating period of time.
