Learn the traditional, sustainable technique of hooky mat making. During the workshop, you will learn the history, the different rag-rug techniques and try your hand at hooky mat making. As part of the workshop, you will be shown how to design and make your own small hooky mat, inspired by local farming, agriculture and landscape. You will be able to begin your mat to take away and will be provided with your own 'hook' to keep, hessian and other materials.
