How Tetbury Goods Shed became an Art Centre

How Tetbury Goods Shed became an Art Centre - with honorary President and driving force Will Cook
Wednesday 10th September 2025 at 7.30pm - doors open 7.00pm
Tetbury Goods Shed from the beginning. Join Will Cook as he tells you how he led a group of amazing Tetbury Volunteers to come together and turn a run down old goods shed into one of the best loved art centre in the area.
Tonight's talk is raising funds for the Goods Shed and History of Tetbury Society (H.o.T.S)
A native Tetburian,Will Cook has been involved with the rail lands since the project started in the 1990s with Will chatting to the Prince of Wales! He was one of the original Trustees when the Trust was formed in 2000 and was the Chairman from 2013 to 2017 during which time he led the Goods Shed renovation project turning the building from a derelict wreck into the beautiful arts centre that we have today. During this time Will was also the person who probably did most actual physical work on the project using his carpentry skills as well as labouring. Since stepping down as Chairman Will has been the great driver in getting the caf started and then making it into a much loved and popular venue for dog-walkers, mothers, children and anyone who loves the park lands. He was also instrumental in bringing to Tetbury and renovating the Goods Sheds railway carriage.
Will has been a Feoffee for many years and is a great supporter of all things Tetbury. If he is not helping out at the Goods Shed or caf, Will is likely to be found mending clocks (and winding up the town clock), violin making or completing his latest project.
Advance tickets cost 5.00 - on the door on the night they will cost 7.50
