If Trees Could Talk: Trees Within Us and the Microbiome

Trees Within Us and the MicroBiome
Artist Andrew Carnie partners in research in neuroscience, biology, technology and visual arts. His "Winter Tree" project explores how the dendrite form in our bodies. The neurons in our brain mirror dendrite forms in nature; the tree in the landscape. The tree-like structure is found everywhere allowing distribution, collection and connection: and in our brains, is ultimately core to how we think. His developing project The MicroBiome further explores how we are not independent of the world around us - and in us.
Dr. Lucy Loveday is a qualified GP and Senior NHS Educator. Currently Associate Dean for Faculty Development, Innovation & Performance at NHS England Southwest, and Advisory Board member for the Cross-Government Preventing and Tackling Mental Ill-Health through Green Social Prescribing Project.
Natalia de Zulueta, co-Director of Resilient Young Minds with Lucy, is a social entrepreneur with 15+ years building and scaling ventures across health, climate and community in the UK, Africa and China. She is co-founder and Director of 021 Ventures, and Director of a multi-site, primary care-embedded nature connection programme.
The Network of Wellbeing is a Devon-based social enterprise with the vision of people and the planet thriving together. Their mission is to connect people, support projects and inspire action for the wellbeing of people and the planet. Someone from their management team will join us.
