Christina Hart-Davies, author and illustrator of The Herbal Year , tells how she came to write her book and introduces us to some of the fascinating history of herbal medicine from ancient Greece to the modern day. She draws on writers, poets and storytellers from across the centuries to help illustrate how plants have been used for healing and storytelling, including some simple recipes for use at home. Christina has been a professional botanical illustrator for many years and will share a few trade secrets of how she produces her detailed and award-winning plant illustrations.
