Interesting Things - A Music Festival For The Curious

Tolbooth is excited to announce the return of Interesting Things -A Music Festival for the Curious.
A multi-space, multi-genre music and arts festival in the historic heart of Stirling.
Interesting Things, the all-day celebration of boundary-breaking music acts returns to Stirling’s iconic Tolbooth
venue this August for its third year. With a genre-defying lineup including some of the most exciting live acts
from around the UK and beyond, Interesting Things continues to cement its place as a thrillingly bold voice in
the UK festival circuit.
Headlining the third edition will be acclaimed Scottish producer Lord of The Isles, rising Dublin experimental
folk artist Lullahush, and a live collaborative performance from two of Scotland’s most fiercely unique artists
Isa Gordon & Tony Morris.
Interesting Things has become a key showcase of some of the most singular voices in Scottish music, and this
year’s lineup continues that theme, with acts including experimental folk ensemble Susannah Stark & Band,
Edinburgh sludgey-doom-jazz-math trio Taupe, Stirling Glasgow lofi songwriter Quitter, and boundary pushing
folk artist Miwa Nagato-Apthorp.
The legacy of legendary Scottish band Frightened Rabbit, celebrated at the annual Sing the Greys festival in
Stirling, will also be represented with two new acts from former Frightened Rabbit members - Andy Monagan’s
highly anticipated new Fountain Road project, and Dovetailed, an acclaimed new duo featuring Frabbit’s
Simon Liddell, and Kim Grant, aka Raveloe.
Also appearing throughout the venues’ three specially curated and kitted out stages will be, Glasgow
composer and sound artist Melissa Rankin, the trans-Atlantic collaborative electronic duo April Four, the
deconstructed industrial noise of Seraph, the provocative and ethereal Speculum Bunny, modular synth artist
and composer Rory Tilt, the deathrock sleaze duo The Gall, and the beautiful indie folk of frequent Constant
Follower collaborator, Stirling’s Scott William Urquhart.
With further announcements to be made, including details of visual art exhibitions, fringe events, and food and
drink offerings by Tolbooth’s own Supper Club, Interesting Things is set for a welcome return to Stirling’s
creative scene.
