This course offers a great introduction into the tools and techniques needed for creating prints from wood engravings. Working with an end grain practice block as well as a resin one, you’ll use traditional wood engraving tools to create your designs. From these blocks you will then create wonderful repeat patterns on Japanese papers. At the end of the class, you’ll be able to take away a small collection of repeat pattern prints, as well as the blocks which can be worked on and re-printed in the future.
