Conversations of Hope is the third album from Jasper Høiby’s 3Elements piano trio, featuring

Naíma Acuña on drums and Xavi Torres on piano. At the centre is Jasper Høiby, a bassist

composer and bandleader whose international reputation was shaped through Phronesis, the

influential group formed in 2005 that redefined expectations of the modern piano trio. That

Grounding in structure, risk and collective momentum sits at the core of this project.

The music in Conversation of Hope, moves fast and hits hard, shaped by clear melodic ideas

shifting time signatures and an acute sense of space. Acuña’s precise, driving detail and Torres’

harmonically focused piano language connect tightly with Høiby’s bass-led writing, creating music

that feels urgent, physical and alert to every change in direction. Conversations of Hope, released

on Edition Records, reflects a composer and bandleader refining intensity, interaction and

Ensemble focus with clarity and purpose.
