Jazz at Trades

Walthamstows premier jazz night featuring London and the UK's finest musicians. 8pm every first Thursday of the month at Walthamstow Trades Hall.
Our two tier pricing system aims to strike a balance between making our event accessible for all, whilst trying to ensure we can pay the musicians a fair wage for their performance. Please consider paying the full ticket price of £10 if you can, to help support our musicians, and help to cover the deficit from the lower priced tickets and numerous payments involved in running the night.
This month we are excited to welcome some new faces to Trades, Tenor Saxophonist Chris Adsett will be joined alongside a fine rhythm section consisting of Louis Odell (Piano) Ross Anderson (Bass) and Mark Hale (Drums)
Chris is an exciting and dynamic Saxophonist who's dedication to sound and melody sets him apart as a unique voice in the London Jazz Scene. This is his first time leading the Jazz at Trades session & we can't wait to hear the music he's prepared for the show, a selection of his favourite Swing and BeBop compositions.
Born in Bradford, Chris moved to London in 2016 to study at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since graduating, Chris was selected as a finalist for the Worshipful Company of Musicians Young Jazz Musician of the Year Award in 2023 and has been touring far and wide with the Down for the Count Orchestra at venues such as the Glasgow Royal Concert hall and Cadogan Hall. His playing is highly influenced by Stan Getz, Lester Young and Scott Robinson.
