Every year, Edinburgh based singer Sally McGreevy writes and stars in a 60 minute Fringe Show based on the life and music of an iconic singer. WIth past subjects ranging from Dusty Springfield to Barbra Streisand, these shows are always a tremendous, sell-out success. This year, Sally's featured singer was the incomprable Liza Minnelli and, as a past show focused on Judy Garland, we asked her to combine them for our Linlithgow Jazz audiece. Not exactly jazz but both singers frequently sang jazz standards, and Sally weaves their songs into their fascinating stories in such an entertaining way that I know we're in for a great night! Sally's band comprises wonderful musicians who are well-known to Linlithgow Jazz - Jimmy Taylor on bass, Dave Swanson and the superb Campbell Normand on piano.
