KH Comedy Fest Launch Show - Rachel Fairburn WIP
This year we're launching Kings Heath Comedy Festival with a preview show from one of our favourites - Rachel Fairburn (Live at the Apollo, All Killa No Filla) - so join her as she tries brand new material and characters for her new show. Support from Kwame Asante - Kwames material touches on a wide variety of topics, drawing humour from his Ghanaian background, family, relationships and his career as an A&E doctor, as well as current affairs, with witty and clever observations. Kwame started gigging in 2010 and won the Chortle Student Comedian Of The Year award in 2012. His debut solo hour show Open Arms went on to be nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2017 Edinburgh Comedy Awards. And hosted by Aaron Twitchen - a stand up, actor and circus aerialist. His debut book, Homo History, was an Amazon top 10 bestseller in 2024. He is the UK's leading Sugababes expert and his podcast on the topic went top 20 in 5 countries (more than the Sugababes themselves recently). Age restriction: 14+ / 14 - 16s accompanied by an adult Get 20% off your food bill when attending any ticketed event at the Hare & Hounds!
