Kitchen Dancer is a deliciously quirky new play and ridiculous idea from award-winning writer and performer Skye Loneragan, presented by theatre company Scissor Kick.

Australian SkyeC finds herself representing Scotland in the brand new 'Coping Strategies' category of the Olympic Games as a Registered Kitchen Dancer.

Someone told me to move my stuff.

Moves must be made as she attempts to show a film crew where she trains, a cramped flat sandwiched between other situations.

This show will appeal to anyone with a sense of humour (somehow still intact), who attempts to manage their own mental health each day. And perhaps those with a limited Floor Plan...

Timely and funny, Kitchen Dancer is for anyone who finds themselves juggling loved ones and life itself.

Come find a space for yourself, you're not alone.

Praise for Previous Shows

Loneragan is such a gifted and engaging performer, both in words and movement, that the quiet integrity of her unadorned staging finally comes to seem like a gift; in a show that talks of madness, but also of how women's lives, honestly described, always tend to defy the norms of our culture.

The Scotsman, Though This Be Madness

Genuinely life-affirming and hilarious to boot.

The Herald, Mish Gorecki Goes Missing

It takes an artist of some budding genius to generate an idea this simple and this brilliant.

The Scotsman, Unsex Me Here

This is theatre we need right now.

Corr Blimey, Walking on Eggshells

A superb piece of theatre, setting the promise of what might have been against the tragedy of what actually was.

The Quinntessential Review, Jackals
