Knowsley Hall Guided Tours

The Earl and Countess of Derby extend a warm welcome to all visitors for the annual public open days at Knowsley Hall in August 2025. This exclusive event provides a unique opportunity for guests to enjoy a guided tour of one of Merseyside’s hidden treasures.
Join us for guided tours at 10:30am or 2:30pm, each lasting about an hour and a half. Explore the grand rooms and hear fascinating stories of the Stanley family. Conclude your tour with tea, coffee and biscuits. For an extra treat, book a Knowsley afternoon tea. Afternoon tea is served at 12:30pm daily so will be served either before or after your tour if you decide to add this.
This year’s special exhibition celebrates ‘A Passion for The Turf’ and will feature captivating racing paintings and a variety of memorabilia including photographs, racing cards and silks from the archives. Few families can claim a more exceptional position in racing than the Earls of Derby. The family’s association with racing can be traced as far back as Ferdinando, 5th Earl of Derby, who was keenly involved in the sport during the late sixteenth century.
Advanced online booking is essential due to limited availability. Secure your spot and join us for a memorable experience at Knowsley Hall this August.
