Kulk
Washing Machine proudly presents KULK RULES FOR RADICALS DOLL FACE BROKEN PROMISES SICKENER On Saturday 1st November, we'll be welcoming back crushingly thrilling heavy doom dispensers KULK to The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds! As the band explain: "We are Jade and Thom. We are from Norwich. Kulk is simultaneously an exploration into human suffering and an extension of our own relationship. Kulk reflects exactly what heavy music is, aggressive and brutal yet ultimately made out of love for the ones around us. We pride ourselves on our energetic and chaotic live performance. We have played amongst bands such as Part Chimp, Hey Colossus, Big Brave, Gnoomes and Portrayal of Guilt. Also touring twice with PigsX7 including shows at Electric Ballroom and Rock City. " Support comes from experimental drone duo RULES FOR RADICALS (featuring Shannon and Jay from Rats As Big As Dogs/Voluntary Redundancy), BurySOUND-conquering grunge gods DOLL FACE, blisteringly ace punk polemicists BROKEN PROMISES and shoegazing alt-rock sensations SICKENER (featuring former members of Glitter Shop and Suburban Minds). 6-11pm. All ages are welcome. Under-14s must be accompanied by a parent or carer. There is a fully-licensed bar on the premises. No ID, no alcohol. THE HUNTER CLUB IS A SAFE SPACE We take audience safety very seriously at The Hunter Club, and strongly believe that gigs can and should be safe spaces, free from harassment, intimidation, prejudice, bullying and violence. We expect that all artists, venue staff and attendees will respect our values, and we have a zero tolerance policy towards those who do not. Anyone who endangers the enjoyment and safety of others at a Washing Machine night will be ejected and barred. It is unfortunate that in the 21st Century we still have to say this stuff, but we hope that by doing so we can help to create an atmosphere where everyone feels safe and able to enjoy themselves.
