Martin McDonaghs award winning play is a tongue in cheek black satire on the violence that characterised The Troubles of Ireland, particularly in the early 1990s. Irish terrorist Mad Padraic cares about one thing, and one alone, and - despite his title as the Lieutenant of Inishmores Irish National Liberation Army - its not his fight for Irish independence, its his cat, Wee Thomas!
