Get ready for a raucous interactive gameshow stuffed with lessons on critical thought, decolonised history and jokes brought to you by acclaimed writer, comedian and podcasterATHENA KUGBLENU.

A fun-packed not-to-be-missed game show is inspired by CBBC Horrible Histories writers hit 2025 book Historys Most Epic Fails !

Fun for all the family - discover the truth behind the world's biggest historical howlers from mishaps that changed the course of history to mistakes that did us all a favour!

This session is followed by book signing.

Suitable for: All the family from age 7+. Under 13s must be accompanied by an adult.

Likkle Lit Fest is a glorious festival of Black literature for all young readers from tots to teens taking place of Saturday 14th February 2026 from 10:30am-4:00pm. The one-day takeover of Leeds Central Library will feature workshops and drop-ins showcasing Black characters, stories and history, told by Black writers, brought to life by Black illustrators, to be enjoyed by everyone.

As well as the ticketed sessions, the Library will be abuzz with a host of brilliant writers, illustrators and artists ticket-free activities and zones:

Anansi CornerDedicated to the legendary African Caribbean trickster spider with a short film screening and creepy-crawly crafting brought to you bythe British Library.

Lyrics & Vibes Zone @ STUDIO 12 Poetic Coding - transform a poem, song or lyric with our coding drop-in. Got a rap, poem or song? Pop into Studio 12 for your very own recording booth session.
