The Liverpool Mozart Orchestra is one of the UK’s leading amateur orchestras. Its members include experienced players from a wide range of occupational backgrounds, many of them professional music teachers and musicians. Founded in 1951, the LMO works with renowned soloists and conductors, which over its long history have included Zubin Mehta, Sir Charles Groves, Guy Woolfenden, Peter Donohoe, its Conductor Laureate Mark Heron and its President Sir Simon Rattle.
