Lives Along the Line: Celebrating 150 years of the Settle Carlisle Railway

by Joan Barnard - Celebrating 150 years of the Settle Carlisle Railway
To celebrate 150 years of passenger travel on their line, the Settle Carlisle Railway Development Company has commissioned a new play about the internationally famous railway.
Lives Along the Line, by local playwright Joan Barnard, will be performed by Ravenstonedale-based community-focused theatre group, The Vagabonds.
The play is inspired by research into the history of the 72 miles of scenic railway and the people it has connected.
