Locksbrook Lates: Creativity Comes Alive After Hours at Bath Spa Universitys Locksbrook Campus
Locksbrook Lates returns to Bath Spa Universitys Locksbrook Road Campus on Tuesday 5 May, 58pm, inviting everyone to enjoy a free, vibrant evening of creativity, community, and connection. This special edition partners with the Newbridge Arts Trail, offering a preview of selected works ahead of the trail weekend on 910 May. Now in its 16th year, the trail celebrates the rich artistic talent of Baths Newbridge and Lower Weston area, and this event is a chance to meet both established and emerging artists, explore a wide range of creative practices, and discover affordable original artwork in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
Alongside the exhibition, Bath Spa University students will open their studios, giving a rare behind-the-scenes look at where and how their work is made. Visitors can also take part in drop-in workshops led by MA students, exploring weaving techniques and puppetry, while Bath Live Visuals Community, a DJ, and a bar create a lively, social atmosphere. The Holburne Futures Collective will be on site making fabric and crochet bunting for their upcoming Queer Film Festival in June, with visitors invited to join in. Recently nominated for a Creative Bath Award, Locksbrook Lates continues to bring people together through creativitycome along, get involved, and experience Baths thriving arts community.
