Welcome to Open Hoose; a gripping and thought-provoking new theatre performance that explores the deep-rooted connections between geography, socio-economic divides, and identity. Set against the backdrop of Glasgow’s diverse neighbourhoods, this compelling experimental work delves into the lives of individuals navigating the complexities of class, opportunity, and belonging. Through vivid storytelling and powerful performances, Open Hoose shines a light on how postcode boundaries are more than just numbers—they are symbols of division, opportunity, and aspiration. With raw emotion and sharp social commentary, this devised show examines how the city’s socio-economic landscape shapes lives, dreams, and futures, weaving together themes of resilience, struggle, and hope. Opening up the door we invite the audience in, to explore our power of control and whether the freedom of play in childhood can inspire us to break the restraints and expectations of adulthood. This is more than just a show; it’s a reflection of Glasgow’s soul, challenging audiences to question the invisible lines that separate us and the power of community to transcend them.
