The Duke's Theatre Company's production of Macbeth offers a dynamic reimagining of Shakespeares classic tragedy. Known for their bold and innovative interpretations, the company brings a contemporary edge to the dark tale of ambition, murder, and madness. Director Robert Shaw Cameron ( Coronation Street, Regents Park Open Air Theatre, Sheffield Crucible ) and designer Jessica Curtis ( Hampstead Theatre, Almeida Theatre, Royal National Theatre ) make a production with a cast of six industry leading actors. With a strong focus on the psychological unravelling of the protagonists, this adaptation takes The Dukes into a new era of open-air Summer touring. There are 2 dedicated accessible parking bays facing the entrance. There are bike racks to securely store bikes whilst visiting the monument. The journey from the car park into the visitor centre is flat and even. The visitor centre entrance has wide, automatic doors. Accessibility: Tretowers visitor centre is housed in the original 15th-century barn; the retail area is designed to allow adequate space between display areas, entrance and exit points and features low admissions desks and automatic doors. The journey from the visitor centre to the court is across a main road with traffic coming from both directions (no kerbs); the entrance to the court is across a cobbled courtyard and through a wide double gated entrance. The barn also hosts a small first-floor restaurant, open for food during the day and evening. The restaurant can be accessed via a flight or stairs or by a lift. Toilets: Visitor centre. Two unisex Toilets are located on the ground floor of the visitor centre, one has baby-changing facilities, and one is accessible. Toilets: inside the monument There is also a toilet block behind the north range of the court. This offers separate male and female areas and one dedicated accessible toilet. Food and Drink: Picnicking is encouraged before and during the performance, and at the interval. There is no bar or refreshment facility at this venue. Dogs: Except for assistance/guide dogs, we regret that we cannot admit any dogs or other pets to our performances. We appreciate that most dogs are well behaved, but it only takes one pinched meat pie or canine stage invasion, and chaos ensues! It has to be one rule for all.
