Maroon 5, which controversially has six members, formed in 2001 after a brief foray into the industry as Kara's Flowers whilst the boys were still in High School. The band released their debut album Songs About Jane in 2002 and kept fans waiting five years for their second installment It Won't Be Soon Before Long. Since 2011 lead vocalist Adam Levine has been a judge on the reality tv singing contest The Voice, working beside Christine Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Usher and Shakira.
