Scanlan's songs appear in books by celebrated authors including Joyce Carol Oates, and have been covered by Sarah Jarosz, Solas, and others. Most recently, Martha garnered a rush of new fans when Robert Plant recorded her song Higher Rock for his 2025 album, Saving Grace (#4 UK Albums Chart, #1 UK Americana Chart). In October 2025, Plant performed Martha's song on Later with Jools Holland.
