A special gala show for Kings Heath Comedy Fest - in memory of our friend Cate McGee
Headlined by the FABULOUS Fatiha El-Ghorri, compered by Barbara Nice, The Magic Lady and more to be announced.
Fatiha El-Ghorri
Underneath Fatihas colourful hijab is a mind full of cutting observations and engaging witticisms on the life and times of a British Muslim woman. Fatiha smashes the Muslim stereotypes and challenges people to think about what they think they know about Islam, Muslims, and Muslim women especially. After debuting her work in progress show Cockney Stacking Doll at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2023, Fatiha won the award for Best Debut Show.
In February 2024 Fatiha was invited to perform onstage at the iconic London Palladium Theatre alongside Sir Lenny Henry as part of Comic Reliefs star-studded Live at the London Palladium event.
Already racking up a score of on-screen credits, Fatiha has made appearances on The Jonathan Ross Show, The Russell Howard Hour, Outsiders, Stand Up Sketch Show, Big Zuus Big Eats, Guessable, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable, BBC New Comedy Awards, Out Of Order, Sorry, I Didnt Know and will also feature on the upcoming season of Taskmaster. Fatiha has also made several notable appearances on podcasts, including Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster and The Guilty Feminist.
Fatihas debut novel The Perks of My Hijab will be published by Simon & Schuster Childrens Books in 2025.
