Militarie Gun is an American alternative and hardcore-influenced rock band formed in 2020 in Los Angeles, led by vocalist Ian Shelton. Originally started as Shelton’s solo project during the COVID-19 pandemic, the band quickly evolved into a full lineup and gained attention for blending the intensity of hardcore punk with catchy, melodic songwriting. Their music often balances raw energy with introspective and emotional themes, helping them stand out within the modern punk scene. After building momentum with a series of EPs, they broke through with their debut album Life Under the Gun (2023) and continued that rise with God Save the Gun (2025), earning a reputation as one of the more dynamic and genre-blurring bands in contemporary alternative music.
