MiScreen digital screen printing machines offer a new way to create screen prints. Similar to Risography, this process allows you to make incredibly fine detailed images onto screen mesh, which you print by hand, without the need for chemical solutions, separations or excessive use of water and energy. In this class you will create a screen printed digital ‘collage’ of layered imagery using MiScreen generated stencils and traditional screen printing techniques. Learn the basics of screen printing, from making simple paper stencils to pulling a print. You'll then be introduced to the MiScreen equipment and how to transfer an image onto mesh which you will then use to create your own prints.
