Mis(s)labelled
Putting Estonia on The Map (because let’s face it-most people couldn’t point to it if their Ryanair flight depended on it). Join Estonian comedian Heli Pärna for a smart, sharp, and soulfully funny hour of stand-up where no label is safe. In MIS(S)LABELLED, Heli explores everything from awkward cultural stereotypes to heartbreak, feminism, and the question on everyone’s mind: "WHY IS EVERYONE STILL CONFUSED ABOUT EASTERN EUROPE?" Expect to leave with a laugh, a few epiphanies, and possibly a renewed appreciation for geography. The Adventures of the White Unicorn, Heli’s debut solo show, premiered at the Tallinn Fringe Festival in 2023. A year (and several continents) later, she’s heading to the EDINBURGH FESTIVAL FRINGE with a fresh take on what it means to be mis(s)understood, mis(s)represented, and most definitely mis(s)labelled. Whether you’re from Tallinn, Tokyo, or Tooting (!) this show is for anyone who’s ever felt like they don’t quite fit the mold.  Heli doesn’t just perform; she connects. Her style is warm, fearless, and hilariously vulnerable. It’s not “a comedian talking at you”, it’s more like catching up with a brutally honest friend over drinks (but she’s got the mic, and it’s her round). ABOUT HELI PÄRNA Heli Pärna is an Estonian stand-up comedian based in Brussels, Belgium, where she writes, performs, directs, and co-hosts the bi-weekly Funny Women Brussels show. She’s a storyteller with a sharp tongue and a soft heart, blending clever cultural commentary with raw, relatable moments. Her no-holds-barred honesty and mischievous wit have taken her across international stages, performing everywhere from Brussels and Geneva to the Netherlands, England, and even New Zealand. She headlined SIDE SPLITTERS COMEDY, opened for touring acts like DEREK MITCHELL’S Double Dutch and MAGDULICIOUS’S BEAST FROM THE EAST, and debuted her first solo show, THE ADVENTURES OF THE WHITE UNICORN, at the TALLINN FRINGE FESTIVAL in 2023. Whether she’s unpacking stereotypes, dissecting heartbreak, or recounting wildly inappropriate pickup lines, Heli’s comedy is fearless, heartfelt, and full of surprises. You might come for the laughs—but you’ll stay for the truth bombs and that “wait... did she just say that?” energy. ★★★★★ "If you’re looking for a comedy show that is both sharp and side-splittingly funny, do not miss this brilliant Estonian comedian. She’s a true gem in the world of stand-up!” Phoenix Review
