Monumental: Great Buildings of the World

Stone has been used for millennia to express our greatest ambitions. Master stonemason and conservator Simon Warrack joins fellow stonemason Andrew Ziminski to uncover the stories hidden within some of humanity’s greatest monuments. From Angkor Wat and the Trevi Fountain to Great Zimbabwe and Canterbury Cathedral, Simon reveals the artistry, ingenuity and cultural meaning carved into their stones. Together, they explore the challenges of preserving sacred sites and historic buildings while respecting the traditions that shaped them - and reflect on the privilege of helping future generations discover the beauty and craftsmanship passed down through the ages. There will be a book signing after this event.
