Dave Cottle, Sarah Meek & Paul Smith Playing the Great Songs from the Swing Era & So Much More! Dave Cottle has been in the music industry a very long time, and first appeared on TV and Radio in the 1970s and toured extensively with the likes of Cilla Black in various seaside resorts, including Butlins. Nowadays he is also known as the organizer of Swansea Jazz since 2014 and heading a number of his own bands from trios to an 18 piece jazz band called the Power of Gower. Dave plays the trumpet, keys and sings and he is joined by drummer, Paul Smith who has been performing with Dave for a number of years. Sarah Meek makes up the trio. Sarah has appeared in Fishguard before in her own quartet but here she will be taking on the Ella Fitzgerald song book. Ella Fitzgerald was dubbed the first lady of song and was the most popular female vocalist in the USA for the best part of half a century winning 13 grammy awards and selling over 40 million albums. One of her most popular collaborations was with the legendary Louis Armstrong, hence the Louis and Ella Show.
