MVT Fundraiser Manchester

MVT Fundraiser Manchester
Join us in Manchester for a fundraiser special for MVT

Hi, I'm Charlie Smith, an Alternative Acoustic artist from Hampshire, UK. In April, I will be embarking on my spring tour fundraising for the Music Venue Trust. This will include six different grassroots music venues around England.
Join us at the Peer Hat in Manchester for a celebration of grassroots music. With all profits going to the music venue trust, come along and support independent music.

Charlie Smith

My name might be common, but my style is alternative. I'm Charlie Smith, a fiercely independent artist from Southampton, UK. Not only do I record and perform my own music, but I also play a part in the local grassroots music scene by regularly hosting my own music events. It's a real privilege to be able to organise my April tour, which raises funds for The Music Venue Trust and supports the vital work they do. As I always say, support independent music and use your local venues before you lose them.

Rebecca Spooner

Rebecca Spooner is a 20-year-old English singer-songwriter and producer. Combining elements of folk-infused pop and acoustic indie, she writes and performs raw and honest songs, embedding themes of love and loss, fears and futures, and suchlike human experiences. Her unique songwriting style intertwines emotive vocals and poignant lyricism, and has often been compared to the likes of Joni Mitchell and Laura Marling, with hints of Jeff Buckley. Rebecca released her first single All My Mates Are Sad in January 2025 and her second single If I Had a Daughter which was shortlisted for the Tune Into Nature Music Prize 2025 and featured on BBC Radio 3. Rebeccas self-produced, debut album Miss Belief released in September 2025, showcasing seven songs of varying styles, soundtracking late-night drives, whimsical walks through the park or 6 oclock morning showers. Now based in Manchester / Calderdale, Rebecca Spooner continues to expand her discography. Catch her on Instagram to find out about the latest updates and gigs.

Oliver Louis

Self-recording from his home studio, Oliver first released music with radical expression, under the name A Polar Rose, where he first experienced the catharsis of sharing music.
Emerging as Oliver Louis, he took to the Manchester live music scene, combining nave lyricism with mature acoustic fingerpicking; all the while, expanding his recording techniques behind closed doors. Here he was able to combine non-traditional percussion with modern technology, transporting folk music into the realm of psychedelia.

Mary Bolt

Singer-songwriter based in the Peak District and local to Manchester. Acoustic pop sound with inspiration from artists such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Paramore and Lewis Capaldi. I released my Debut single the Understudy and EP Taking Chances in August 2025, and I have new music coming soon - spring/summer 2026.
