My Life in Sport: Recorded Highlights: Dougie Donnelly with Hugh MacDonald

Memoir, Sport, Glasgow
A giant of Scottish and British sports broadcasting, Dougie Donnelly sits down with journalist Hugh MacDonald to discuss Dougie’s brand new autobiography, My Life in Sport: Recorded Highlights.
Dougie is one of Scotland’s most successful and best-loved broadcasters, whose career has taken him from a law degree he never used, to an award-winning 15 years as a radio DJ and encounters with Paul McCartney and Elton John, to a worldwide career in television sport.
Hear from one of sports’ most familiar voices as he recalls presenting football World Cups and European Championships, Europe-winning Ryder and Solheim Cups, rugby Grand Slams, medal-laden Olympic and Commonwealth games, and many Major golf championships throughout the world.
Or how, before all of that, he once booked a gig for a certain Mr Billy Connolly at Strathclyde University, which led to an enduring friendship (and a foreword from The Big Yin in Dougie’s book).
