Nether Edge Festival Presents Martin Stephenson

Nether Edge Festival Presents Martin Stephenson
As part of this years Nether Edge Festival, join us in the intimate surrounds of the Samuel Worth Chapel for a very special evening with Martin Stephenson beloved singer-songwriter, storyteller, and frontman of the legendary Daintees [https://daintees.bandcamp.com]. Martins career began on the streets, busking as a teenager inspired by the likes of The Cure and the Brighton scene. What followed was a musical journey spanning four decades, blending genres from jazz to country, skiffle to reggae, all delivered with warmth, humour, and a deep connection to his roots. With The Daintees, Martin found early acclaim and shared stages with Aztec Camera, The Bluebells, and John Martyn. Later, he stepped away from the mainstream industry to embrace a fiercely independent path, crafting a rich catalogue of self-financed albums and earning a devoted live following along the way. This performance part concert, part storytelling session promises a heartfelt, soulful evening full of reflection, melody and musical surprises from one of Britains most enduring and endearing talents.
