Swim, bike and run into 2025 with the Edinburgh New Year's Day Triathlon!

With a chance swim in the beautiful Royal Commonwealth Pool (host of 3 commonwealth Games and various world and European swimming championships), and bike and run on closed roads around one of the city's major landmarks, Authur's Seat, the race is a perfect way to gain the panoramic views of the city, experience Edinburgh's Hogmanay spirit with locals and get your 2025 off to a cracking start!

The race consists of:

- 400m swim (8 lengths) of the Royal Commonwealth Pool
- 11 mile cycle around Arthur's Seat
- 3.5 mile run around Arthur's Seat

There's also the option to do the triathlon as a team.

Plus, there is no need for the kids to feel left out - there is a separate Duathlon race for 8 to 15 year olds. This involves a short run, 2k bike, short run - all on closed roads.

The Children's race is at 11.00, the adults starts at 12.00.

This race was introduced as part of the Edinburgh Hogmanay Festival that has continued as long as the partying has!
