Nicholas Soames, Lord Soames of Fletching, is a British politician and was Minister for the Armed Forces between 1994 and 1997. He has a deep interest in and knowledge of defence and international relations, and speaks regularly in the House of Lords on matters of national security. Nicholas is the grandson of Sir Winston Churchill and will be talking at the Festival on Churchill, the Great Human Being.
